As former Assistant Majority Leader in the Massachusetts Senate, she puts decades of priceless experience to use in helping people and
groups meet their missions and worthwhile goals—whether it be for
private, public, and non-profit organizations, or individuals collaborating with community leaders and government officials.

Career Highlights
- Chief Administrative Officer, Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office
- Prior to serving as a consultant, Attorney Marian Walsh was overwhelmingly elected and reelected to the Massachusetts Legislature, rising to the position of Assistant Majority Leader for the State Senate. She was the first woman from the Suffolk and Norfolk district to serve in either the Massachusetts House of Representatives or State Senate.
- While serving the legislature, Marian held many significant chairmanships and committee assignments including Senate Chair of the Joint Legislative Committees on Taxation, Criminal Justice and Banking; Vice Chair of the Committee on Education; Assistant Vice Chair of Ways and Means; and member of committees in Human Services, Judiciary, Housing, and Tourism.
- Marian has extensive executive experience, serving as the Chief Administrative Officer at the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, Boston, where she managed a staff of nearly 300 people. During her tenure, she spearheaded several innovative management and IT programs and launched new investigative and social justice programs that continue to serve the public and victims of crime today.
- A certified life coach, Marian has been an instructor/guest lecturer at several renowned colleges/universities (Suffolk Law School, Tufts University, Boston College, Boston College Law School, and Salem State College), and contributor to local and regional news outlets. She’s also been an effective and popular public speaker, panelist, and facilitator for many important civic and policy discussions.
- Marian received her Bachelor’s degree from Newton College of the Sacred Heart, her Master’s in Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School, and her Juris Doctorate from Suffolk University Law School.
- Numerous civic and non-profit organizations in the region—representing the education, human services, business and social justice sectors—have recognized Marian for her accomplishments. She was named one of “Boston’s 100 Most Powerful Women” by Boston Magazine.
